You will own the copyright, so feel free to share with friends and family, use them on your invitations, or post them on Facebook. There are no watermarks and no restrictions. All engagement sessions are on location. If you're a Penn Stater, that's one of my specialties. RatesMy standard rate for engagement sessions is $300 plus $100 an hour, so a typical one-hour session is $400. I can usually get photos in about three to four nearby locations in an hour, espcially on the Penn State campus. For example, the Nittany Lion statue, Old Main, The Alumni Gardens, etc. For other locations, we are fortunate to live in scenic area, with lots of outdoor settings to choose from, or pick a favorite place of your own...where you met, your first date. Anything goes! Please note: Since you own the copyright, you do not need to pay extra to make prints or to copy the photos. All of the images and digital negatives are yours to keep—you own the copyright. You can have your photos printed yourself, or we'll connect you with one of our trusted vendors—with no additional markup. I maintain backups of all your files, so your photos will be safe, and my package rates include post-processing and retouching for up to six images that you select from proofs. If you need more, we can talk about that. Since I only use the highest quality lenses, your photos can typically be enlarged to 40 x 60 inches. 8x10 or 16x20 prints will be razor sharp, with excellent color and contrast. Black and white or special effects, such as color drop-outs are never a problem. When it comes time for your wedding photography, enjoy a $200 discount! Send me an email to discuss your needs. Below are just a few samples from my portfolio... check my FaceBook page for more, or I'll bring some along when we meet.
EquipmentI am sometimes asked about my specific equipment... I am currently shooting with a Canon 7D (18 megapixels) and a Canon 40D (10 megapixels) with L series and prime lenses for my primary setup (I always have a backup camera or two). This provides extremely sharp images for enlargements up to 100 inches. Most venues do not allow flash photography, and I have the right equipment to work with available light. While I prefer to work with natural light, there are occasions where flash is better, especially during the reception. I use a 580ex Speedlite or studio strobes, as appropriate. Post processing is accomplished using Apple Aperture and Adobe Photoshop CS5. I hand process all of your files personally, and do not send them to a 'raw processing farm'.
